LOWELL - People who are exploring their career options will have an opportunity to tap into the expertise of academic advisors at next month's UMass Lowell Open House.
The event, sponsored by the UMass Lowell Division of Continuing Studies, will run Tuesday, Aug. 24 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. in Southwick Hall, Room 223, on University Avenue. Fall classes start Sept. 7.
Open House attendees can investigate the ways to earn college credit, professional certificates and specialized degrees to enhance a career or start a new one. As one of the largest continuing education providers in the region, UMass Lowell offers a wide variety of part-time degrees and certificates in areas such as computer programming, manufacturing, plastics, project management, liberal arts, homeland security, engineering technology, information technology, web design and database administration.
The University's part-time certificate and degree programs feature practical applications within a curriculum that is constantly updated to integrate the cutting-edge tools and applications used by today's leading companies. Courses are offered at convenient times, during the evenings and on-line, to accommodate full-time workers and busy commuters.
