The 230,000-square-foot University Crossing student engagement center will celebrate its grand opening on Tuesday, Sept. 16 at 2:30 p.m. 

Students, faculty, staff and the public are welcome. The building will offer one-stop student services, a flagship campus bookstore called the River Hawk Shop, the Crossroads Cafe, space for student clubs and organizations, administrative offices and more.

Other events planned for the facility’s inaugural month include:

  • A talk and book-signing by U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren on Friday, Sept. 19 at noon. 
  • A talk and book-signing by Piper Kerman, author of “Orange is the New Black” and prison reform activist, on Tuesday, Sept. 30 at 6:30 p.m.
