LOWELL
-- The 22-0 UMass Lowell field hockey team captured the Northeast-10
Conference Championship with a decisive 6-1 victory over Stonehill on
their home turf at Cushing Field yesterday.

The River Hawks were led by two goals from senior Sammy Macy
(Tewksbury) and lifted by Tournament Most Outstanding Player Liz Day.
With the victory, UMass Lowell earns its sixth NE-10 Championship
in program history and first since 2007. With 22 victories, the 2010
River Hawks have earned more wins than any team in program history.
