Scholarly Interests

Her current artwork examines the new perks of motherhood; past work has included a talking carpet, insects, and mutant vegetables. She teaches video, digital art, and foundations.

Bio Sketch

Ellen Wetmore is a multi-media artist who is busy conquering motherhood, an art career, shoalin kung fu video clients, and an overwhelming number of bright, promising students.

A graduate of the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and Tufts University, Wetmore is a member of the Boston Sculptor’s Gallery and has shown at the DeCordova Museum and Sculpture Park, Simmons College Trustman Art Gallery, Fitchburg and Attleboro Art Museums, the University of Massachusetts, Boston, Harbor Gallery, the Mills and Holy Cross Cantor Art Galleries. She grew up in Saginaw, MI, and now lives and works in Fitchburg, MA.
