Take Action by Joining a Committee
Susan Winning of the Labor Extension Program records concerns identified by women from across the University community at a recent luncheon in Alumni Hall.
The Labor Extension Program has announced the formation of two committees – one to pursue improvements in family-friendly policies and the other to consider salary equity, promotion and advancement on campus.
The committees were formed as a result of ongoing dialogue, most notably through the Women’s Issues in the Workplace luncheon series, co-sponsored by the Center for Women and Work, which drew 75 women from all areas of the University to discuss issues of importance.
An online University survey conducted by Labor Extension also indicated widespread interest in expanding family-friendly and flexible policies, and exploring methods for salary equity and advancement opportunities.
If you are interested in working on the committee for either of these issues, contact Susan_Damore@uml.edu.
