Sub-prime mortgages, the falling dollar, the rising price of oil. The administration is telling us things are fine, while others seem to be full of doom and gloom. The rich don't seem to be suffering, but for working people stability and security seem to be going up in smoke. This session will cover questions like: What is the economy doing? What's it going to do to us and our unions? What can we do about it? Mark Brenner is a New York City-based journalist and labor activist who writes on labor and workplace issues. He is also co-director of Labor Notes. Brenner is a former professor of economics at the University of Massachusetts and the Political Economy Research Institute. Cost $7.
