The Department of Cultural Studies presents a screening of El espinazo del Diablo (2001) (Devil’s backbone), directed by Guillermo del Toro. During the last days of the Spanish Civil War, a 12-year-old boy named Carlos arrives at a boarding school where he uncovers dark secrets involving ghosts and hidden riches. The UMass Lowell community is welcome, however, the films are classroom assignments for some students so please be punctual and courteous.
