 Award Promotes Alliances, Partnerships with Ireland

WHAT:       The Irish Echo, Irish-America’s oldest and largest selling newspaper, is hosting its annual Golden Bridges Awards luncheon, honoring individuals who have made significant contributions to alliance-building in Ireland.  This year, the organization will honor UMass Lowell’s Chancellor Marty Meehan, as it pays special tribute to those who have forged friendships and alliances with Northern Ireland.  The award comes as UMass Lowell and Queen’s University Belfast are announcing an educational partnership.

WHERE:      John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum, Columbia Point, Boston

ADDITIONAL:  Members of New England’s top Irish-American business, community and political leaders will be in attendance.
