Educational administration degrees prepare students to understand what it means to be an effective leader. Additionally, candidates gain specific content knowledge in areas important to their future leadership role, such as school law, school finance and supervisory practices. Successful applicants must submit proof of a valid teaching license in their state and proof of a minimum of three years teaching experience.

Ed.S. Administration, Planning and Policy – Massachusetts Teachers only (online and on campus) with Principal License
This 30 credit Ed.S. (Education Specialist) advanced degree (formerly a CAGS) is for candidates who already hold a master’s degree and wish to extend their professional knowledge and skills. The program includes a two-semester (3 credit) practicum, which provide eligibility for a Principal license in Massachusetts. The program is online with the exception of the the practica which are conducted in the candidate’s school and also require some campus meetings. Candidates must be employed in a school district in order to complete this degree. The Ed.S. candidate undertakes a substantial project or paper during the Ed.S. seminar, in addition to course work and the practicum.

Ed.S. Administration, Planning and Policy - online, non-licensure

The Ed.S. (Education Specialist) degree is for candidates who wish to pursue an advanced program which culminates in a significant project or paper.  To qualify for admission to an Ed.S. degree program, the applicant must have completed a master's degree in education or a master's degree in a closely related field of study from an accredited college, with a cumulative grade point average of not less than 3.0.  Additionally, applicants should have at least three years full-time experience in a K-12 school or a related setting.

M.Ed. Educational Administration – Massachusetts Teachers only (online and on campus) with Principal License.
This 30 credit degree consists of online course work and a culminating three-credit, two-semester practicum which is undertaken in the candidate’s school district. The
practicum requires occasional visits to campus by the candidate, as well as meetings at the school site with the college supervisor and school mentor.
Program of Study M.Ed. – Massachusetts Teachers

M.Ed. Educational Administration – Online, non-licensure for teachers working in states other than Massachusetts
This 30 credit degree provides course work appropriate for classroom teachers interested in learning about K-12 administration. The degree culminates in a capstone project and does not lead to licensure.
