New Private Scholarship Opportunities

ASCO Numatics Scholarship
For it's engineering scholarship program in the 2012/2013 school year! 

Two merit-based scholarships of $5000.00 each will be awarded to exceptional undergraduate & graduate engineering students pursing careers in manufacturing, processing, or other industrial automation related disciplines. Also, ASCO Numatics will make $1000.00 grants to the engineering depts. of the colleges in which the winners are enrolled.

Requirements:   

  1. Enrolled full-time in an Engineering, Instrumentation, Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, or Automation discipline.
  2. Must be entering Junior or Senior year in a 4 year undergraduate degree program or enrolled in a graduate program.
  3. Must have a at least a 3.2 GPA
  4. Must be a U.S. Citizen or Legal U.S. Resident

ASCO Numatics will present the scholarship awards as part of the Amazing Packaging Race at Pack Expo. International 2012, October 31, 2012, at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL.

The CableTV.com Psychological Impact of TV Scholarships is offering a $1000.00 reoccurring scholarship. This scholarship is open to current or prospective college students who are enrolled or are planning to enroll in a college or university program. Medical Professionals of Tomorrow Spring 2013 Scholarship 
U.S. Medical Supplies has a $5000.00 scholarship available for students who are studying to enter a medical profession.

This scholarship is available to full-time college students who are pursuing a course of study in a medical field, including those studying to become a doctor, nurse, physical therapist, anesthesiologist, radiologist and all those who are pursuing other medical fields.

Requirements:

  1. Must be enrolled in a accredited 2 year, 4 year or a graduate program in the United States
  2. Must be a Full-time student
  3. Must be enrolled in an educational program that is related to the medical field.
  4. Must be a legal resident of the United States
  5. Must complete the Application & Submit response to the Essay question by December 31, 2012 
  6. Response to the essay question Must be at Least 500 words in length.

Good citizens deserve help with college! What does being a good citizen mean to you? Tell us what you do to help others in your community and the world in a short essay or video. You could be chosen for a 2012 TruFit Good Citizen Scholarship.

NH Future of Nursing Scholars Program
The New Hampshire Nursing Diversity Pipeline Project would like to offer $5,000 to $7,500 for the 2012-2013 academic year, for a nurse of a minority background interested in pursuing an advanced nursing degree and teaching the next generation of nurses.

Eligibility Requirements: 

  1. Member of an Underrepresented Minority Group 
  2. U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or qualified immigrant 
  3. FT / PT student enrolled or accepted into a PhD or accredited doctoral nursing program (DNP) or Master’s in Nursing program 
  4. Resident of New Hampshire 
  5. Must have a Desire to teach nursing in New Hampshire after successful completion of degree program 
Program Award Grantee Requirements: 
  1. Be enrolled into a PhD or accredited doctoral nursing program (DNP) or Master’s in Nursing program
  2. Identify academic and teaching goals for the academic year. Submit written reports of progress and goal achievement at the end of each semester, after receiving the award.  The report must also include an outline of academic and professional plans for the next six months 
  3. Participate in leadership development activities, including those offered by the program; Minimum 10 hrs. per year 
  4. Serve as a mentor or instructor within one of five program aspects of the New Hampshire Nursing Diversity Pipeline Project (see Appendix A); Minimum 10 hrs. per year 
  5. Plan to teach nursing in New Hampshire after successful completion of the degree program in one of the following capacities: full-time faculty, part-time or adjunct faculty or clinical instructor.

2012-2013 NAWIC Scholarship Program
The National Association of Women in Construction offers this scholarship to both men and woman applicants, who are full-time students and who, as of September 2012, will be enrolled as degree candidates in a construction-related, construction management, architecture, civil, mechanical, structural, or electrical engineering.

Price Chopper’s Golub Foundation
The Price Chopper Golub Foundation is offering 10 scholarships to students who live within our marketing area.
  • Eight (8) scholarships will be awarded to graduating high school seniors planning on attending college starting the fall of 2012 semester.
  • One (1) will be a Junior College transfer scholarship for a graduating student from a community or junior college to a 4 year college starting the fall of 2012 semester.
  • One (1) will be a Graduate or Professional School scholarship for a graduating college senior who is planning on attending graduate school in the fall of 2012.

U.S. Bank Scholarship Program
One thousand dollar scholarships will be awarded to forty high school seniors and college undergraduates in a random drawing.
Eligibility Requirements:
  • High school senior planning to enroll; or a current college freshmen, sophomore or junior at an eligible four-year college or university participating in the U.S. Bank Student Loan Program
  • Enrolled by September 2012
  • A United States Citizen or Permanent Resident

$2,500 Environmental Studies Scholarships
The Friends of Chatham Waterways awards two $2,500 scholarships each spring to students entering their junior or senior year of college or in graduate school, majoring in Environmental Studies, Environmental Management or a related field. These scholarships are for residents of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket, or students who graduated from secondary school or college there. NEEBC: New England Employee Benefits Council
NEEBC's Scholarship Program was established to further the aims of the Council to advance the knowledge and education of individuals in the employee benefits field, or those aspiring to careers in employee benefits. The NEEBC Scholarship Program provides annual awards scholarships up to $5,000 and can be renewed annually, for a maximum of four years.

  • College student (undergraduate or graduate) 
  • Residing either in New England, or enrolled in a college in New England.
  • Student must demonstrate an interest in a career in the employee benefits field through either course of study or work experience.
