Full-time masters students are eligible for research assistantships, which involve conducting research with a faculty member. We are committed to providing assistantships for as many second-year students as possible, and some assistantships may be available for entering students as well. Currently, assistantships pay about $13,000 per academic year (full-time) or $6,500 per year (half-time), in addition to tuition and in-state fees. Research assistants work 18 hours per week during the nine month academic year. The deadline for applying for fall assistantships is the preceding March, though in some cases additional assistantships become available over the summer. Contact us with any questions.

All Masters students, full-time and part-time, including incoming students, are eligible for the Solomont Scholarship, a scholarship based on both financial need and academic merit. Two Solomont Scholarships of $2,500 are distributed each year. U.S. citizens and those with official residency status are also eligible for federal student loans. You can fill out the application online.
