Asian Studies is an interdisciplinary minor that explores the complex interaction between artistic, cultural political, social, religious and other important spheres of human life in Asia. Emphasis is placed not only on the diversity and achievements of Asian civilizations, but also on the ways an understanding of Asia may shed new light on western cultural traditions. The minor is built around courses in the humanities and social science disciplines
Asian Studies encompasses the geographical areas of East Asia, South Asia, and Southeast Asia and offers courses in most of the disciplines of the social sciences and the humanities. Asian Studies minor’s courses are taught in English and are open to all students in the University.
