Training Schedule

Laboratory safety and compliance training is required annually by the EPA and OSHA for all laboratory personnel who work in UMass Lowell laboratories that have chemicals and/or generate hazardous waste. All faculty, staff, graduate students, teaching assistants, research assistants, researchers and others (except undergraduate students), must annually attend an EHS lab safety and compliance training session.

This training is offered monthly and allows persons whose certification will expire to attend and keep current their UMass Lowell lab privileges. It is the responsibility of the faculty member who oversees the lab to assure that all workers are EHS lab-trained and certified.
