The University has progressed systematically towards and has become a fully smoke free University in all its academic and administrative buildings and in the common areas of the Residence Halls. The effective date for this changeover was September, 1995.

Changes of this nature take a great deal of sensitivity and mutual courtesy and respect. Should you encounter any concerns please contact either the office of Human Resources or the office of University Life. Please understand that we take your health and those of your non-smoking peers very seriously and will do all we can to assist.
