Artist Ellen Wetmore works with sculpture, video, sound art, and interactive environments. Her current work is inspired by the birth of her first child and she explores and records experiences of motherhood that are comical, embarrassing, and weird. Represented by the Boston Sculptors Gallery, Ms. Wetmore has also exhibited at the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, the Fitchburg Art Museum, the Boston Mills Gallery, the Duxbury Art Complex Museum, and the Trustman Gallery at Simmons College. In 2007, Wetmore's Land o' Lactation was featured in the exhibition Trainscape at the Decordova Art Museum and Sculpture Park. She also participated in Contemporary Sculpture at Chesterwood.
