Objective:
Following a slide presentation and a discussion, students will be required to develop a sculptural object, which explores materials and processes available to artists working in the assemblage manner. The concept of the project must deal with the relationship between the object and its suggested function, dysfunction. Invention is the operative word. The sculpture must explore wood, metal, fasteners and other materials as needed. Wood and metal fabrication processes will be demonstrated.
