Tickets for Graduate Ceremony
For the fifth year in a row, we are projecting the largest graduating class in UMass Lowell history. Because of this growth, seating has become extremely limited for both graduates and their guests at the Tsongas Center, raising concerns about comfort and safety for everyone.
Therefore, we will make the following adjustments to try to address these concerns while doing what we can to make this day an enjoyable one for graduates and their guests:
- Commencement Ceremonies: This year, we will hold two Commencement Ceremonies, one for undergraduates and one for graduate students. The Undergraduate ceremony will take place at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2013, followed by a Graduate ceremony at 3 p.m. the same day. Both ceremonies will take place at the Tsongas Center at UMass Lowell.
- Tickets for the Graduate Ceremony: Graduates themselves do not need tickets, but their guests do. If you have not requested tickets by now, your options are to donate to the Senior Gift and be entered into a raffle for luxury box seating or to email Commencement@uml.edu.
Guests with tickets should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the ceremony (3 p.m.). We cannot guarantee late arrivals will be seated inside. We anticipate a full house.
- Video Streaming: As in years past, the Commencement Ceremony will be streamed on the web in its entirety for those with internet access. A web link will be provided on the Commencement website in the week before the ceremony.
