Scholarship Fundraising Dinner, May 30

This year, for the first time, a scholarship fundraising dinner will be held on campus the night before commencement, during which the honorary degree recipients, distinguished alumni and student award recipients will be acknowledged.

Attendants are invited to join Chancellor Marty Meehan and Commencement Speaker U.S. Sen. John Kerry in recognizing the UMass Lowell’s Honorary Degree and Distinguished Alumni Recipients on Friday, May 30, 2008 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Allen House, Two Solomont Way, UMass Lowell South.

The commencement eve reception also will feature student award winners. The speaking program will begin promptly at 6 p.m. 

Tickets are $100 per person. Proceeds will go to the Chancellor Martin T. Meehan Educational Excellence Fund for student scholarships. To order tickets, contact Emily_Byrne@uml.edu at (978) 934-4808.
