Bio Sketch
Celeste is a doctoral candidate currently completing her dissertation, with plans of receiving her Ed.D. with a leadership in schooling focus from University of Massachusetts Lowell. She received her masters in nursing from Boston University with a medical surgical educator focus. She holds a B.S. in nursing from this school of nursing, having graduated in its first graduation class.
Before joining the faculty at UMass Lowell, Celeste taught part-time in a number of nursing schools. She was a tenured assistant professor at Worcester State College.
Celeste has had an eclectic nursing background. She has worked as a staff nurse in a teaching hospital, critical care manager, in-service coordinator, and supervisor while eventually attaining the position of Director of Nursing.
Celeste coordinates and teaches a maternity section of Health Promotion and Risk Reduction of Families I, coordinates the simulation lab, teaches 33:313 nursing fundamentals lab, and coordinates and teaches the senior Role Transition practicum. Celeste has three children.
