Dr. Yang holds a B.A. and an M.A. in Management from Nanjing University (China), and Ph.D. in Organization & Strategy from Drexel University.

Dr Yi Yang’s research interests include corporate venturing and entrepreneurship, organizational learning, technology management, and decision making process. Her dissertation on corporate venture capital won the Award of Best Dissertation in Social Science at Drexel.

Yi Yang is an assistant professor in the Management Group. She joined the College of Management at University of Massachusetts Lowell in 2006. Currently, she is teaching Strategy and Entrepreneurship courses for undergraduate students at UMass Lowell.

She is a member of several professional associations such as Academy of Management and Strategic Management Society. She received the Teaching and Learning Exploration Grant at UMass Lowell in 2007
