
Established in April 2004, the School of Health and Environment at the University of Massachusetts Lowell was created to promote human health and development that enables people to live in safe and productive communities and environmentally sustainable economies.
The new school prepares professionals ready for employment in a wide range of health and environmental occupations. A large research program and vibrant community engagement enrich and support the educational programs.
The school offers bachelor's degrees in six majors, 10 master's degrees and seven doctoral degrees, plus 15 graduate certificates.
The school includes the departments of Clinical Laboratory and Nutritional Sciences, Community Health and Sustainability, Nursing, Physical Therapy and Work Environment.
