Bio Sketch

Andrea Pensado (Argentina, 1965) started studying music formally at the University of La Plata, Argentina. In 1987, she received a scholarship to study at the Academy of Music in Krakow, Poland, which enable the above-mentioned studies. While in Europe, she was selected or invited to participate in numerous  festivals and workshops. Her music was played in Poland, Holland,  Austria and Germany. During that period her pieces showed a wide variety of interests, from pure instrumental to mixed genres. Gradually, she began to use new technology in her work.  In 1997 she moved back to Argentina and co-founded an interdisciplinary duo (Qfwfq) along with Gregory Kowalski (in charge of the images). The duo was invited to perform in many venues in Buenos Aires, among others the Museum of Modern Art and the Museum of Fine Arts. She has been living in the USA since 2002 and continues performing with Qfwfq in the USA and abroad.
