As part of the MSDN Academic Alliance, UML CS maintains a large suite of Microsoft software packages which includes desktop/server operating systems (such as Windows XP, Vista and Server 2003) and compilers (such as Visual Studio 2005), but not Microsoft OFFICE.

As part of the agreement, students currently enrolled in a Computer Science class may borrow software for installation on their personal computer systems. When borrowing the software, you are NOT allowed to copy the CDs or distribute them to other individuals.
You may also DOWNLOAD the software using the ELMS software management system. You will need a ELMS username/password to download the software. Please send an email to admin@cs.uml.edu to request your account. Click HERE to log in if you already have a ELMS account.
To borrow a CD, please come to Olsen 312B between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday-Friday. You may borrow more than one title at a time.
Please keep the following in mind when you wish to borrow a software package:
1. The most popular software packages have been duplicated for borrowing purposes. While all items can be borrowed, it will take one-two days to duplicate those items which have not yet been copied and prepared for distribution. Please send email to admin@cs.uml.edu if you are unsure if the title you need is available.
2. When you either graduate from the CS program or are no longer enrolled in CS courses, you may not borrow further software packages, but you can keep the software installed on your computer.
3. There is a one time fee of $10 - this will be required the first time your borrow a software title from the MSDN collection. Subsequent borrowing will not require payment. This is payable in cash only.
