
Professor Forrant taught in the Western Massachusetts Five Colleges Public Schools Partnership for the Teaching of American History, Summer 2005. Topics included industrialization, immigration and social movements in the late 19th century. The program is funded by the U.S. Department of Education.
Professor Forrant has been named co-editor of a book series titled 'Work, Health and Environment' for the Baywood Publishing Company.
With UMass Lowell professor Linda Silka, Professor Forrant is co-editor of Inside and Out: Universities and Education for Sustainable Development, to be published by Baywood Publishing in early 2006.
