The History Dept. is pleased to announce the addition of two excellent young historians to our faculty, beginning in Fall 2006. Prof. Lisa Edwards, a specialist in the history of Colonial and Modern Latin America, will teach courses in those areas as well as in religious history and comparative history. She comes to us from SUNY Fredonia. Prof. Patrick Young, who is currently a visiting Asst. Professor in our Dept, will join us permanently and plans to teach courses on 19th and 20th century European history, with a special emphasis on France. Prior to UML, he taught at Amherst College on a Mellon Fellowship.
