Prospective StudentsThe Department of Environmental, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences (EEAS) covers the study of the broad spectrum of knowledge concerning the earth and its atmosphere. Typically both undergraduate and graduate students have a keen interest in preserving our planet's natural resources, as well as learning about the effects of weather, air pollution, and other natural or manmade conditions on our environment. Its program of instruction attracts students from the Merrimack Valley and all over the country who want a unique, interdisciplinary academic program that will prepare them for a variety of careers, including those in meteorology, geology or environmental science. Real-World Application As a group, the EEAS faculty has been professionally active to an extraordinary degree. Collectively the faculty are extremely active in publishing refereed papers, giving invited talks and presentations at meetings, mentoring undergraduate research projects, and overseeing master of science theses and doctoral dissertations. Also many have written books and special publications. | |
