If you're interested in a business career that will put you in a position of responsibility and leadership -- in either a public or private company -- a management degree with a concentration in Accounting is for you.

This concentration will provide you with:

  • basic math, analytic, and communication skills
  • experience with the latest technology
  • a solid background in accounting, economics, and marketing
  • an opportunity to gain real experience in research, internships, and outreach projects conducted with employers across the region.

Accounting graduates have a wide variety of career opportunities, including chief financial officer, treasurer, comptroller, and accounting manager.

Course Work:
Course work in your first two years will concentrate on mathematics, financial and managerial accounting, economics, statistics, and marketing principles. In your junior and senior years, you will move on to areas such as cost accounting, management information systems, advanced financial accounting, and federal taxation.
