  • The College of Management (COM) is pleased to announce its recent reaffirmation of accreditation with the AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business). The AACSB is the professional accrediting body for business schools which assures the maintenance of high quality management education. Only one third of all business schools hold AACSB accreditation. COM has been accredited since 1987.
  • COM recently received news of the award of a $200,000 grant from the Davis Foundation. The Davis Foundation provides grants on a competitive basis to schools working to improve the quality of education on their campuses, through the use of assessment and technology. This particular grant will use WebCT as the tool to creative an e-portfolio. Dr. Luvai Motiwalla, Dr. Steven Tello and Dean Kathryn Carter secured the grant for COM.
  • Dr. Valerie Kijewski, a COM marketing and strategy faculty member, has recently received external grants totaling $36,500 from the National Collegiate Inventors and Innovators Association. The proceeds from the grants will be used to support activities with the UML Commercialization Lab and entrepreneurship activities on campus in management, science, engineering and health.
