Educational Background
Dr. Jain earned his Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Missouri–Columbia in 2004. His Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) and Master of Finance and Control degrees were earned from the University of Delhi, India in 1991 and 1993, respectively. Dr. Jain also earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter from the Association for Investment and Management Research (now CFA Institute).
Scholarly Interests
Dr. Jain's research interests include corporate governance, cash policy, and value investing. Dr. Jain has published his research in several academic journals including the Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics.
Bio Sketch
Ravi Jain is an assistant professor of management in the department’s Finance Group. Prior to joining UML, Dr. Jain was a member of the finance faculty at Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas. He has taught undergraduate and graduate courses at the University of Missouri–Columbia and Emporia State University.
