Educational Background

Dr. Motiwalla earned his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona. 

Scholarly Interests

Professor Motiwalla’s current research interests are the impact of ERP, E-Business and the evaluation of emerging technologies in e-Learning.  He has published numerous articles in several national and international journals including Computers and Education, Journal of Internet & Higher Education, Information & Management, Information Resource Management Journal, Journal of Organizational Computing & e-Commerce, and Journal of MIS. 

Bio Sketch

Luvai Motiwalla is a professor of management in the department’s Manufacturing/Management Information Systems Group.  Before joining UML, Professor Motiwalla was an associate professor at the University of Hartford. He has also a consultant or worked on research projects funded by the Department of Education, Davis Foundation, Connecticut Department of Health Services, IBM, NCR and U.S. Army.
