Interdisciplinary Programs & Minors

German Studies Minor

The interdisciplinary minor in German Studies is a great choice for those students who want to acquire a foundation in German language, culture, history and literature within a context of other interdisciplinary connections. As a student in the German Studies minor you will gain intermediate proficiency in the German language, and become acquainted with the culture of German-speaking countries.

The interdisciplinary minor is open to all undergraduates and consists of an interdisciplinary program of 18 credits of required and elective courses.

At least two courses must be at the 3000 level or above.

Required Courses (12 credits)

Electives (6 credits)

Students who have placed out of any of the elementary and intermediate language courses (German 1-4) will need to take more elective courses to complete the necessary number of credits required for the minor.
