This course will study the history and potential future of the global al-Qaida movement. Inspirational leaders, strategies, operations, tactics, finances and other key dimensions of this network will be examined in depth. The course will also examine specific vulnerabilities of a decentralized networked organization like al-Qaida, to include tactical control, strategic authority, dependence on technologies, and transactional integrity.
