Outdoor Adventure Program

Custom Adventures

If you are interested in an adventure in the outdoors but need some support in areas like planning, leadership and equipment, consider a custom trip through the Outdoor Adventure Program! All trip details can be tailored to you and your group's needs.

Creating a custom trip can be great for a variety of groups including:

  • A group of friends
  • Student Organizations
  • University Departments
  • Community Groups

Use the Custom Trip Request Form to begin the process of putting together a custom program through our Outdoor Adventure Program. Requests must be submitted at a minimum of two weeks before the preferred date. To create a custom adventure, a group must consist of at least six participants.

Once your request is submitted, the Outdoor Program Coordinator will respond to confirm dates and give an estimated cost that will cover transportation, group equipment, instruction, leadership, entrance and camping fees as needed. Please inquire if you would like food provided. A deposit will be required 14 days prior to the confirmed trip date.

Team Building Programs

OAP is now offering team building programs for student and community groups. We provide a unique experience customized for each group to meet their goals. We believe in a process where participants shape their own experience to make it meaningful and fun. Our leaders facilitate challenging and engaging activities based on a philosophy of Experiential Education. Expect to play, laugh, move, question, celebrate,  and learn.

Common Outcomes include:
  • Enhanced teamwork
  • Improved leadership
  • Communication
  • Increased trust
  • Increased confidence
  • Improved problem solving skills
  • Renewed energy and excitement towards program or team
Group size can range from 8-50 people.
We offer portable initiative and low activities that can be provided at the Campus Recreation Center or other on-campus locations. We currently do not provide a high ropes experience.
Programs can range in time from 3 hours to full 8 hour days, based on your group's needs.
