NETA certified personal trainer and yoga instructor
B.S. Exercise Physiology. I am currently in the Doctoral of Physical Therapy Program (DPT) at UMass Lowell, expected graduation, 2016
What got you interested in fitness and exercise?
I have always loved fitness. In high school I ran track and cross country and really loved explaining how to exercise to others.
Why did you want to become a personal trainer at Campus Recreation? I became a certified trainer my freshmen year and started working as a trainer for Campus Recreation by the end of my sophomore year. I spent that year volunteering watching other trainers and helping out with the Biggest Loser Program. All of it was a ton of fun!
What is your philosophy on fitness?
I believe that you get out what you put into it. Exercise is fun and it’s all about finding what you enjoy.
What are some of your hobbies and other interests?
I love to paint, hike, swim, snorkel and much more! I would love to try scuba diving and other water sports. Right now I am focusing more on my other passions like yoga and Pilates. It's definitely tough to choose! I plan on bringing more art back into my life when I finish graduate school.
