AFAA Primary Group Fitness Certification

AFAA's dual accredited (both exam and program) and globally recognized certification program is designed to equip those seeking to become Group Exercise Instructors with the competencies needed to design safe and effective exercise programming for the general healthy population in a group setting.

The workshop will review and provide practical instruction in exercise science, program design, choreography, cueing and other critical areas prior to the proctored administration of the included written and practical exams. Depending on experience, 1-3 months of pre-study is recommended prior to attending the workshop.

AFAA's Fighting Obesity: A Practical Approach

This one-day, onsite workshop is designed to provide fitness professionals with an introduction to the knowledge, tools, and fundamental skills necessary to successfully work with larger-sized, overweight and obese participants. In addition, the workshop will introduce AFAA's signature Complete 10™ Workout. This signature workout series is comprised of highly effective training routines that fuse high-intensity interval training, compound/functional resistance exercises, core strengthening and stretching/deep breathing into 10-minute, power-packed workouts.

NETA 2-day Personal Trainer Certification

NETA (National Exercise & Trainers Association) offers an NCCA accredited personal training certification that is recognized nationally and is designed for trainers who wish to instruct clients individually or in small groups.

When: October 25, 2014 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., October 26, 2014 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.

POUND Certification

Become a POUND PRO with the POUND PRO Training, a one-day 8 hour, dynamic and comprehensive training experience accredited by ACE and AFAA. Enhance your resume, skill set and appeal in the fitness community while learning the ins and outs of instructing POUND classes — all in just one day! And after your initial training, you’ll get access to brand new POUNDtracks (POUND choreography) every month to keep your classes fresh, exciting, and challenging!

Zumba B1 Certification

This course teaches you the foundation and formula to teach Zumba® classes! You'll learn the basic steps to the four basic Zumba rhythms (merengue, salsa, cumbia, reggaeton), and then learn how to put these steps together into a song. Pretty soon you'll have enough songs to lead your first Zumba class! And don't worry, Zumba Fitness is right behind you with all the tools and resources you'll need to lead successful Zumba classes.
