Road

These bikes are designed for comfort. They are great for campus, local travel, and vacation. Some are available in traditional frame style or in low-step frames for ease on and off.

These bikes offer a more upright riding position and have easier pedaling. They are great for quick, efficient trips on campus and local travels, as well as for longer rides and have tires with more grip than a road bike, but less than a mountain bike for lighter but durable riding on paved routes. These bikes have a less upright riding position and tires with more aggressive treads. Whether traveling to campus or on forest trails they will take you everywhere. Some options have front suspension– these are best for trail use; others have a more traditional frame.
These bikes are designed for the urban dweller who navigates the busy streets of their city, with frequent starts and stops on paved terrain. This style is made to be light and these bikes have either fixed gears or are single speed. These bikes offer quick handling, responsive shifting and braking, and have a less upright riding position. They are quick and light in getting you around campus and across long distances. They are designed more for performance, speed, and distance.

Used Bike Sales

We also sell used bicycles. Most of the used bicycles we re-sell were recovered by the city or donated by patrons. We take these bikes and give them a full assessment and tune-up. Generally these bikes receive new cables, brake pads, chains, and tubes. Other parts such as tires, grips, seats, cranks, and freewheel/cassettes may be replaced as needed. Used bikes are guaranteed up to 30 days of the purchase date.

We set the price of used bikes based on the quality of the bike and the amount of parts/labor required to refurbish it. Bikes are sold on a first-come-first-served basis. Prices range from $75 -$350. Revenue from bike sales goes back into the our bike programs.

Our supply of bikes that are for sale changes frequently. Bikes sell very quickly at the start of the school year and in the Spring. We usually have our largest quantity available in the winter. Bikes that are for sale are displayed in the Atrium of the Campus Recreation Center. Check there, or contact Rachel Iversen to find out more about availability.
