Newly Renovated Admissions OfficesRenovation of Undergraduate Admissions & Graduate Admissions First Floor Dugan Hall UMass Lowell South Campus
The renovation of Dugan Hall started in March of 2007, with the remodeled Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions Offices as the culmination of this comprehensive project. The exterior work included a new elevator shaft & roof structure, some new windows, and new glass wall in the main entrance. Interior work included the addition of a new elevator; the construction of handicap-accessible restrooms in all three floors; installation of handicap-accessible hardware, doors and ramps throughout; renovation of the main stairwell; renovation of main hallways on the 1st and 2nd floors; new classrooms and offices on the second floor; and renovation of all offices and conference room on the 1st floor. The admissions area space layout was redesigned to include a lobby area, separate public and private areas, a new kitchen, separate functional areas (Transfer Admissions, Processing/Mail Room, Freshman Admissions, CSCE Admissions, and Graduate Admissions), and a student art gallery. We celebrated the completion of the renovations in the 1st floor of Dugan Hall by hosting an Open House on May 1, 2009.
