One of the highest priorities of the University of Massachusetts Lowell is to make quality higher education accessible to all qualified students.
The University works in partnership with students to reduce financial barriers to higher education. In recent years, UMass Lowell has met, on average, more than 93 percent of student need. In 2004, approximately 73 percent of Lowell’s student population received some kind of financial assistance.
The University’s commitment to helping students financially has resulted in the consistent growth of scholarship funding. Through the work of the Office of University Advancement and many others on campus, and with the generous contributions of alumni, faculty, members of the larger University community, and partners throughout industry, the value and variety of scholarship opportunities will continue to expand.
- The UMass Lowell Financial Aid site contains a description of statewide scholarship programs as well as those available on this campus only.
- The Financial Aid site also has a link to the UML Scholarship Book.
- The UMass President’s Office maintains a database of scholarships.
- The state-wide John and Abigail Adams Scholarship program is described on the Department of Education site.
