Michael Gormley
Senior from Brockton, MA; double majoring in English and Criminal Justice; Sigma Tau Delta English Honors Society, Literary Society, Shotokan Karate Club, Coalition of Student Writers, the UML Connector

I originally chose this school because the Criminal Justice program is said to rival that of Northeastern. However, I have decided to pursue a career as an English professor and am overjoyed to find myself in the English program.

The English department faculty has made me feel at home in the program. Without a doubt, I will remain in contact with these professors. They have helped me expand not only my literary knowledge, but also ideas about all aspects of existence.

Seriously consider a double major. It is not hard to undergo, and is far more impressive than a major with a minor. Also, if you ever had any interest in literature, be sure to spend some time with the English Department. Everything it touches turns to gold!
