Biosketch
Kathryn Carter has been Dean of the Manning School of Business at the University of Massachusetts Lowell since 1994. She holds a Ph.D. in Accounting from Texas A&M University and taught in the field of accounting for 12 years before becoming dean. She is committed to leading the Manning School of Business in the delivery of high quality management education, research and outreach.
She is interested in developing quality teaching and learning experiences in business schools informed by continuous research and appropriate technology in combination with corporate and community outreach. Her research is in the areas of corporate income measurement and assessment in higher education. Her commitment to continuous improvement and high quality business education is evidenced by her having served in virtually all capacities associated with AACSB accreditation team reviews for other schools.
Although an administrator for the past 12 years, she still considers herself an educator.
